The Defenders and the X-Men had been having a lot of talks about the mainstream teams helping more with mutant issues, and with more mutants being on the Defenders, mostly at the urging of some of the A-side heroes like Superman, who found the meta/mutant distinction really freakin' arbitrary.
Jaime agreed completely with its arbitary-ness. After all, Traci and the Posse had their aptitude for magic due to a weird little quirk of genetics and that appeared like mutant-ness to the general public but being a Homo Magi was a totally different thing. Yet, people got them confused all the time, so if it was that easy to mix up, why'd it even matter?
"He reminded me of my mentor. Except Peacemaker is a lot more shooty and Wolverine is all stabby. But basically I'm convinced they're probably alternate universe twins or something."
