For a moment, Rich looked like he was going to argue even more and insist he didn't need it. Truth was he didn't. If people needed him, he'd rocket from crisis to crisis exactly like he'd been doing for as long as they needed him to.
But maybe it was a good idea to see his friends and slow down for a little while. Maybe his brother was right and it wasn't something he needed. It was something he wanted, but as long as people needed help out there it was hard for him to convince himself it was something he was allowed to have.
His shoulders sloped slightly as he stood there looking at his brother, his body language suddenly making him look a lot smaller and more tired.
"I guess I could afford to slow it down for just a little while," he admitted reluctantly. He gave his brother a stern look. "But you have the GLs call me if anything big goes down, you hear me? While it's stil growing hair - I don't want the first time I hear about it to happen after it's already exploded into something huge."
