Yeah, he was bitter and he wasn't going to hide it. Ever. Even if it made a few of his teammates like Iron Man look bad. He deserved to, for that one, and he wanted to make it clear it'd be different in the future.

Since then I've worked out an alert system with the Green Lanterns, and, as a backup, the Kree, to make sure nothing like that ever happens again. That includes warning broadcasts and intelligence briefs that would be sent to the president and other world leaders."
