It was a valid question, why he was qualified to just slip right into the job. So he figured he'd get that out of the way first and then ask Peter questions from there.

I got the Kree and the Skrulls actually working together when they'd been at war for probably about a million years or more."

I pulled his guts out through his mouth and stopped the Wave three months before Earth got turned into a much more horrible version of the Klendathu scene from Starship Troopers."
