Cassie put a hand on Kon's forearm and squeezed it reassuringly before looking at the Kents again.

"We want you to come with us, if you're willing," she said softly. "I won't pretend that we didn't consider that having you somewhere he can't find would be a substantial psychological blow, but we mostly want you along because we want you to be safe." She smile humorlessly. "I'm sure he promised you safety too, but if you feel at all inclined, we'd like to have you along."
