"And I know the chances of that are - well, they're a damn sight near impossible at this point - but I still can't... He's our son. And Lord knows I think every single choice he's made lately is wrong. Cruel. Even evil sometimes. But if there's any chance at all of reaching the boy we raised in there, it's going to be in this home, probably in this kitchen."
She looked over to Kon and Cassie.
"I won't get in your way. You need to do what you need to do," she said. "But so do I."
She turned to look at her husband.
"We'd do the same for Conner if it was him. Try to get through. They're our boys, Jonathan. They're both our boys and you don't give up on your children, even if they've done wrong. And we need to be here to do that."
