Nico had, through dint of elbows and general stubbornness on the part of all four of them, ended up in the middle of the other three. Part of her wanted to protest, but the rest of her wisely pointed out that protesting would be stupid. She had the least skill at hand-to-hand, and they were surrounded by people who showed affection (and probably just about every other emotion) with punching.

Oh yeah, and when this was over, they were going to celebrate by doing stupid things that could get them killed.
