Cassie froze, skimming briefly over her memories and no, he hadn't let her see him with his shirt off. She hadn't noticed because they hadn't been doing anything other than cuddling, and while they weren't really affected as much by the cold, it wasn't warm enough to go shirtless either.
Of course he'd have scars. She'd known they put the nanochain in, and he'd talked about the red light rooms. The nightmares he'd woken up from in her arms, she'd been able to guess at a few things. She'd tried not to speculate too deeply because there were only so many things she could punch at the Pole that wouldn't bring down either the entire workshop or the entire damn mountain it was on, and there wouldn't be enough of those things if she thought about it too deeply.
She knelt down on the blanket in front of Kon, cupping his face in her hands and kissing him gently.
"Yeah," she said. "We'll have the moment and let it go."
At least, she'd try. She'd try really, really hard.
