[LN] The Princess returns in glory - or at least with enthusiasm
She'd been home.
Molly had been home, she knew that much, but for almost no time at all - enough to wake up from her nap and recognize that she was in the Leapfrog, Victor and Chase arguing about something up front and Karolina laughing at them. It was a little stuffy and the seat vibrated a little and there was that slight tug at her stomach as they Leapfrogged homewards--
And then she was at the North Pole, dumped unceremoniously onto a pile of teddy bears, to the surprise of one of the Yetis. She blinked at him for a moment, then scrambled out of the pile and took off running. The elves that saw her immediately started trying to follow her, excited to have their fellow toy-tester back, and it was that... rather unique tableau that she presented to anyone who happened to be watching as she raced upstairs looking for people she recognized.
"NICOOOOOOO!"

"NICOOOOOOO!"

He wasn't Nico, but he could help Molly find her, and also be thrilled to see her again.
"Molly! Welcome back!"
He bolted from the yeti, bouncing off walls and over railings to land by Molly's side.
"C'mon sweetheart, I'll help you find her."
no subject
"Bunny, Bunny, guess what!" she says excitedly. "I was home! I was back in the Leapfrog, just for a minute, and it was totally real and then I was back here before I really had time to do anything but I was back! Isn't that great?"
no subject
He rallied pretty fast, hugging her back and patting the side of her face when he could see it again. "That's fantastic." It really was. It was good to know that the effect that brought them here COULD slingshot them back home again. "How was everyone? Had they missed you?"
no subject
She throws her arms up dramatically at that. TEDDY BEARS, Bunny. (they were very soft. One of her elfin followers may be carrying one for her.)
no subject
Bunny took a moment to pat Molly's ear gently, because he didn't want to displace her hat.
"Listen, Molly, I'm sorry about - sorry I gave you a scare last time you were around. You were a big help when Jack and I were in trouble, and a lot braver than you had to be. I hope you're proud of yourself, because I was real proud of you. Still am."
He knew more than ever, since getting to know Nico a little better, that Molly deserved praise and probably hadn't gotten enough from her parents, which was just terrible.

It was...actually pretty funny. In the past he might have chuckled but laughter didn't come easily to him now. The tendency to express feelings of any kind, happy, sad, whatever, had been pretty much beaten out of him by his "training."
Still, he was free from that now, and that meant that even though he didn't laugh or smile, there was a bit of a twinkle to his eye.
"Hey, kiddo, is there some kinda holiday going on that I don't know about? You know, since you're leading the elf parade." He looked at the elves trailing behind her. "When are the floats coming? We're still gonna have Snoopy this year, right?"
His joking was a little rusty but it was better than nothing.
He flew out in the air above her, in such a way that suggested that he was more comfortable flying than walking, as if he'd been born with the ability. (In a way, he had, even if he'd technically never been born.)
He cut a slightly intimidating figure with that severe crew cut and all those muscles, but even if he was a particularly large teenager, he was still obviously a teenager, no older than eighteen or nineteen, dressed in normal teenager clothing - jeans, black boots, and a plain black t-shirt.

Sure, he was at the Pole, and nothing seemed to be amiss (or more amiss than it was when she'd left) given that the Yetis seemed to be fine, so he probably wasn't evil. Unless evil snuck in to drink their milk. Which it could, she guesses. He's all dark and big and FLYING and possibly one of what her dad called "street toughs" when she was little, and Chase called "gangbangers" when he thought she couldn't hear.
Or what she thought they probably looked like when they were at home and not wearing all their jewelry and bandannas and stuff.
Still, he'd sounded friendly enough, and he wasn't a grown-up. CLEARLY TIME TO INVESTIGATE.
"Who're you?" she asked, a bit less suspiciously than her expression probably seemed to warrant.
no subject
But now he could tell the truth. Now he could say he was Superboy.
Except...that was maybe a name he no longer had a right to. He was still working all that out, whether or not he deserved the 'S' anymore when he'd been forced into everything.
One thing he did deserve was the true name Kal had given him. He knew if Kal knew about everything he'd done, that he'd still think he didn't deserve to have it taken away, even if he might be disappointed enough to never want him to wear the 'S' again.
"My name's Kon-El. Who are you, tiny, demanding little girl?"
no subject
"I'm Molly, and I'm not that demanding, you just weren't here a few minutes ago and I wondered where you came from. Do you know Nico? I need to tell her I went back home for a couple of minutes."
no subject
Because he was a wreck. He was a walking wreck of a human being that wasn't even quite sure how to talk to people anymore and was only just re-mastering such normal human behavior as eating at the table instead of on the floor.
"Are you one the people that was here but got snapped back home for a little bit? They told us that was a thing."
A thing he hoped desperately wouldn't happen, at least not until he was sure the stupid nanochain was out of him.
"I can help you look for her if you tell me what she looks like."

...however, she sees that her 'attacker' is a young girl, and the flames fizzle out quickly.
"You're in a bit of a hurry!"
no subject
After all, who is this girl?
"Yeah, I gotta find Nico!" she says, the "duh" heavily implied. "Who are you, anyway? I don't remember you."

She considers Korra's offer for a moment, very seriously, then nods. "Well, I guess I could show you around," she agrees. "It's really cool, you can help me and the elves test the toys later, too. Bunny and Jack said I could 'cause if I can break 'em they probably need more work." She sounds very proud of that. Granted, she's not like, turning on her super-strength for toy testing, but she IS pretty rough on them. "I'm Molly."
no subject
"Definitely cool - kinda reminds me of home in a few places, albeit a lot more...whimsical?" She's gesturing vaguely, not really sure what the word is for describing the elves and things. "Well, I can see why. You pack a bigger punch than you look!"
Finally, Korra gives her a softer smile. "Nice to meet you. So this rabbit and staff-kid, they're on the level?"

"MOLLY?!" she shouted back, skidding a little to avoid a gaggle of elves scampering in the direction of the other girl's voice as well.
no subject
"NICOOOO!" She pounded up the stairs, heading for her big sister thing. "NICO NICO GUESS WHAT!"
no subject
"Welcome back, little miss wanders-off," she teased, holding her arms out.
no subject
Though instead of almost knocking Nico over, her eyes flared pink and she lifted her up off the ground briefly in a big tight hug instead. Mostly 'cause it was funny.
"Guess what! I went home! Just for a minute, I was on the Leapfrog and I was napping and then I woke up 'cause Chase and Victor were arguing over something and then I came back! How long was I gone? Was it like Narnia, was it ages and ages?"
no subject
She smiled. "A couple of them are even your age."

He pats at the goose-egg showing up on the top of his head and comes out from under the tree, scowling at the girl.
"What's the big idea? I was getting my beauty sleep."
no subject
It's an admirable amount of restraint.
"Oh, um. Sorry. I just had to find my-" she's always a little stymied by making this description. Sister isn't right, but she's pretty sure Nico would flip out if Molly called her mom, so... "-my friend, Nico. It's super important. Have you seen her?"
no subject
"Nico?" Meowth says that name through his already-nasal voice, and it sounds a bit like a meow. "Listen, kid, I haven't met many people here yet, but not a one of them was named Nico. Is it as super important as making sure I look nice and handsome before I go out today?"
no subject
"Well," she says with a shrug, "I think you look nice and handsome alredy, so probably!"
no subject
"Well, I do try to let the light catch me on my good side." He strikes a pose.
