[LN] Ladies of Science [open]
So, they were now mythical people in a mythical land of magic, the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics was theory, not hypothesis, and the universe needed to be saved. Also the Easter Bunny and Santa were real here.
Well okay then. Gogo was adaptable and rather unflappable, to a degree that made it so it could be argued that it was her true superpower.
Of course, it seemed she had actual superpowers now and that was weird. Or at least a superpower. Rather than her suit being something she had to put on and take off now she could summon it at will, and her control of her discs wasn't magnetic, it was mental.
Which was pretty cool.
What was cooler was the fact that magic was real here. Like true scientists, Gogo and Honey Lemon didn't deal with that by ignoring or dismissing the idea of magic. No, far from it. They were already having the yetis help them build a lab and planned to study it.
"You. Move the 3D printer over there," Gogo instructed one of the yetis, as she shoved a massive cabinet of tools into their new lab space with her shoulders.
She'd meet people. Eventually. But preparing for science came first, obviously, then socializing came later.

After forcing good manners into the conversation in an attempt to keep the Yeti happy, Honey weaved around a crew of elves carrying some thick cables and presented Gogo with a mug of steaming hot chocolate.
"Dash of Cinnamon and a candy cane stirrer. Give it a shot!" She offered eagerly.

But given they supposedly didn't even need to eat anymore and their bodies weren't going to change while they were like this, that opened up the thrilling prospect of being able to eat whatever she wanted and not having it defile the temple that was her totally awesome bod.
So she took the cocoa and drank it with gusto, looking around at the skeleton of their quickly growing lab.
"This place is unbelievable." Was that the tiniest hint of actual excitement in her voice? "All I had to do was give the basic specs on the 3D printer and they had it done in two hours. Two. Hours."
Two hours and they had a complex machine that usually cost upwards of a couple hundred thousand dollars finished and functional.
From a production perspective, it absolutely blew her mind. Not that she was squealing over it outwardly, but on the inside...

The elf cooed and practically melted from the touch before his fellow elves dragged him away to get back to work.
Rising to her full height once more Honey adjusted her glasses. "I never thought we'd get to have a lab even more advanced then at the college but this is shaping up so fast! The possibilities are endless! I can't wait to start examining the properties of some of these items they've been telling me are magical!"

Gogo was far more into the production end of things but they were treading on untouched ground here, as far as she could tell. It seemed as if the magic in this world was mostly kept secret.
That meant there were likely very few scientists that even had access to study it, if there were any at all.

"It's almost like we could throw a stone and discover something." She chirped placing some glass beakers on her structure and tilting her head slightly to see if it looked how she had imagined. With a satisfied nod she took the beakers off again and moved over to the sink to fill them with water.
"The important thing is to not get overwhelmed. If you focus too much on where to start you might never start and then you'd just be spinning your wheels and I know you like to spin but obviously you like to go forward more so once we have everything how we want it we should probably just...jump in shouldn't we?" She cast a glance over her shoulder back towards Gogo while she filled her beakers.

It didn't seem like the bird was going to interfere or interject at all in the process, but it stayed there like a statue, just watching it all happen passively. If it weren't for the fact the bird kept swiveling its head to watch the yetis move and the girls talk, it could have been asleep.

Gogo squinted up at it, staring for a moment, then reached over and tapped Honey Lemon.
"There's a giant bird watching us."
She'll take things she never thought she'd say for 100, Alex.
